The very first Festival of Nonna saw four incredible Italian chefs, Cibej, Mele, Oteri and Ciano, team up with their Nonnas to open a rooftop restaurant and offer cooking workshops – all powered by Nonna knowledge.
Festival of Nonna
A celebration of food, love and family.
At the heart of all great food traditions, sits the family table. This special space isn’t just where our favourite people meet, it’s where we’re comforted by customs and recipes that have been lovingly passed down through generations. And in Italian culture, it’s Nonna we can thank for this.
Check out our festival videos to feel the love, learn tips and tricks, and discover that behind every great Italian chef, is Nonna.
We don’t all have a Nonna, but luckily there’s more than enough food, love and family to go around. Watch our videos below to feel the warmth and have a laugh, as our Nonnas and their chef children get to the heart of Italian food.
Behind every great Italian chef is a wise, recipe-toting Nonna. Meet four of Australia’s top Italian chefs and their Nonnas - women who have proven to be irreplaceable mentors.
